About Me
Three years ago, I enrolled at San Diego State University with the goal of achieving a Masters in Educational Technology. During that time, I worked hard to master the skill of instructional design as well as the art of integrating technology in classrooms.
In addition to bringing my passion for education and technology, I’ve learned a a few key components about technology integration into our schools:
Now, I’d like to take what I’ve learned and partner with teachers to help devise a plan for integrating technology into classrooms around the world.
As an Educational Technology professional, I would love the opportunity to partner with educators in designing and structuring technology inside, and outside of the classroom.
Using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) Model, I’ll analyze your current curriculum, and design a plan to integrate technology.
I want to earn your confidence, so my suggestion is that we start out with one project, and I am confident you'll be satisfied and we can move forward with more projects.
In addition to bringing my passion for education and technology, I’ve learned a a few key components about technology integration into our schools:
- Technology without seriousness of purpose can do more harm than good.
- Every classroom dynamic has it’s own challenges; technology options that work in one classroom may not work well in another.
- The process used in integrating technology into classrooms is just as important as the technology itself.

My Process
As you know, process is just as important as the end results. The ADDIE model will work as a tool to aid in designing a technology plan that is both effective and thoughtful.
Analysis: The analysis phase is a systematic exploration of the way things are and the way things should be. I will look for Gaps by observing your classroom and viewing the current curriculum.
Design: During the design phase the teacher is interviewed for the purpose of gathering information to outline the performance objectives and learning outcome.
Develop: Using the information gathered in the analysis and design phase, a technology solution is created. The technology should address the gaps, support curricular goals and help students achieve the learning objectives.
Implement: The plan is presented to the teacher along with training. If needed, Job aids are created and distributed. Classroom support is recommended for first time implementation.
Evaluation: (Optional) A second observation and/or interview is done to verify if the technology solution actually achieved its objective. Depending on time, a survey or questionnaire will be distributed to gather qualitative data.
