Graduate Student Department: Educational 690/Methods of Inquiry. Research: Teacher and Student Perceptions of Organization. This research attempted to identify student and teacher perceptions of organizational strategies use for success, the reality of organization in the minds of students and the reality of what organizational skills teachers need and sometimes assume their students to have. Identifying the gap that exists between student and teacher perceptions of organization could help better equip teachers in closing the gap. Department: Educational Technology 544/Instructional Design: Living Cells. Using the ADDIE Model, a current Science Lesson plan was observed and redesigned for more effective instruction. Prototype software was also created using Captivate in order to accommodate the Living Cells lesson plan for additional learning. Department: Educational Technology 670/Exploratory Learning through Simulation and Games. Motivational Design-Genetic History. The components of the ARCS model were used against a student survey and instructor observations to evaluate the motivational quality of the lesson. Department: Educational Technology 795/Seminar. Consulting Project: NCUST A-Plus. The National Center for Urban School Transformation (NCUST) requested the consultant team to research possible technology tools for communication. The objective was to identify useful tools; create training aids for the learning needs; facilitate the training in both face-to-face and distance learning situation, and house training materials within the NCUST infrastructure for continuing training needs in future years. |

Knowledge of web design training in basic Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), graphic programs, Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) editing programs, and creating and designing web sites. Google Training 2013-2014 Instructing faculty on how to use Google technologies. The training was a three part series, starting with Gmail, Google Docs and Google Chrome. EdTech Workshops 2014-2015 Designed an EdTech Workshop for Alliance of Minorities to ihelp nform and instruct both students and parents on technologies and their use in Independent Schools. |
